Underwater Easter egg Hunt
You can't plan around every other group in Cape Town!
That is what we discovered the day before our advertised FBUC Underwater Easter Egg Hunt 😆. Mushc as we had plotted and schemed (having it a week early to avoid disrupting the Easter long weekend), it turned out that there was a ATB swimming event on at Long Beach, Simonstown.
Parking was going to be at a premium and the beach would be busy.
But were we deterred? Nope!
Our intrepid conditions scouts were onsite from around 6.30am. The Easter Egg Hiding Team got to work around 7.15am. Shore support was in place by 7.30am, keeping a watchful eye on everything.
At 9.15am we did a safety and instructions briefing and took a group photo. As you can see, we even had a faithful hound keeping watch for his human emerging safely from the water later. Which she did!
by 9.45am there were 35+ assorted scuba and free divers in the water, on the hunt for numbered golf balls to exchange for chocolate-y prizes later in the day. So much fun 😄.
If you missed out in 2024, join us next year - we'd love to have you diving with us...
