What are we like?
FBUC offers a relaxed social environment and excellent company as you get immersed in the best cool-water diving in the world. Cape Town diving is fabulous and our members have been getting underwater around the Cape Peninsula for years... and years... and years!
Our history
Founded many moons ago (we are the oldest scuba club in South Africa), False Bay folks are a bunch of excellent divers who tackle the cool waters around Cape Town with great glee, as often as the conditions permit.
Where we Dive?
Cape Town offers us a unique opportunity to dive from the shore 🏝. This is a super-affordable option, so our weekend dives are focused on shore diving and there is generally a dive site to suit every weather condition - that is the great joy of living on a Peninsula.
Some of us are addicted to boat diving too 🚤 so if you are looking for a buddy to join you on a dive boat, you can find one of those, too.
Our people
Our Club members are experienced and inexperienced divers alike.
Our emphasis is on friendship and enjoying great dives in good company. "Be nice, be helpful or be-gone" probably sums up our ethos 😉
Our Clubhouse

Why not join us for the monthly Braai Night under the trees outside our Clubhouse? First Wednesday of every month, from around 18h30... bring your meat, drinks and utensils.
On the Wednesdays in between, we are still to be found at the Clubhouse, filling cylinders and catching up on the news.
Committee members and club members alike work hard to maintain the facilities and make FBUC a friendly, welcoming club to dive with. They are passionate about ensuring a long and enjoyable future for the Club and its divers.
